Canal Crafting Retreat
16th September (VAT is added at checkout)
GBP £ 45.00
9 available

Join your fellow knitters and crocheters for a leisurely day of crafting while cruising the Grand Union Canal on day boat Jessop. Relax with a taste of life on the water while enjoying afternoon tea as part of the trip.

We will meet at the RiverKnits studio shop before walking a short distance to the canalside, where our skipper Bridget will pick us up and take us on the cruise. There will also be plenty of opportunity to go yarn shopping!

Prepare for the trip

Don’t forget to bring your crafting project! There will be a chance to buy yarn etc… but we can’t guarantee there will be enough time before the boat trip. We have yarn winding facilities in the shop.
Please wear sensible footwear for walking up stairs and on the towpath, and for getting on board Jessop. Jessop has indoor and outdoor seating.
Try to avoid bringing lots of belongings or big bags with you because there is limited storage space on Jessop.
Please contact us 7 days before the trip if you have any special dietary requirements so we can inform our caterer.

Accessibility

Jessop is fitted out with indoor and outdoor seating, kitchen facilities, and a toilet. It is not wheelchair accessible.
Guests will need to be comfortable with stepping up and down to get on and off the boat. The walk from RiverKnits to the canal is between 5-10 minutes and also involves a flight of steps. If you think you can manage getting on and off the boat, but not the walk, please speak to us and we will arrange for you to meet Bridget at Canna Mead Wharf (a 5 minute drive from RiverKnits) instead.
If you have any questions, please get in touch.
