Please note that the 2 workshop days are spaced 1 week apart to allow the first colour layer to dry.
The sessions cover; drawing for print, composition, mark making, transferring drawings to print, using a variety of gouges and how to choose appropriate tools, image problem solving, cutting lino, printing by hand, print problem solving, choosing materials for further work.
The workshop is specifically designed to be an in-depth taught session to give attendees a good grounding in the art form. You can take your time producing a quality piece of work and embed the methodology and thought processes required to create a well balanced print.
The session runs from 10-3 both days. Participants need to bring a packed lunch. Hot and cold drinks and cake will be available at no extra cost throughout the day.
All materials are provided, please wear suitable clothing for drawing and using ink or bring an apron or similar with you.
