Stunning exhibitions, skill demonstrations and a full programme of textile workshops create a visual feast and make Yarndale a real must-visit for yarn lovers.
Come and say hello at the RiverKnits stall. It is our 3rd year exhibiting at this wonderful show and we look forward to being part of it again!
Whether it’s knitting, crochet, spinning, dyeing or felting, you will find something at Yarndale to delight and inspire you…
Held over two days in the picturesque market town of Skipton, North Yorkshire, Yarndale brings together over 180 talented exhibitors keen to share their passion for all things woolly.
During the two day festival, Skipton’s Auction Mart is transformed into an exciting and inspirational market place for yarn lovers. Artisans and retailers of the highest quality are selected to exhibit at Yarndale which makes it very inspiring for anyone with a love of yarn. We encourage you to chat to the exhibitors, get thoroughly inspired and fill your bag with yarny goodies to take home. Our aim is to create a little slice of woolly paradise, we really want to see those creative sparks flying!
The festival is designed to encourage the sharing of skills and inspire visitors to celebrate all things handmade and get creative with yarn. Every aspect of the yarn journey will be represented, from the woolly animals themselves, through the various stages of production to the beautiful finished products.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can try their hand at all sorts of textile based skills in the workshop theatre. Led by a group of talented and experienced local artists, there will be an exciting programme of creative workshops again this year.
Yarndale has become well known for it’s exuberant creative displays. Visitors can walk under a whole ceiling decked out with over a kilometre of colourful woolly bunting, or gaze at a stunning display of more than one thousand crocheted mandalas. Described as “magical”, these stunning creative displays are a heart warming visual celebration of colour, community and creativity.
